Buy a set top box

The next step is choosing and buying a set top box. These range from around £60 to about £200. Many high street stores and supermarkets now sell these boxes. Buying a box on the internet can often net you a good deal. Have a search for cheap freeview boxes on the internet you may find a bargain.

Connect and setup you box

Following the instructions supplied you now need to setup you new box. This usualy involves connecting your exsisting aerial to the box, and connecting the box to your TV and video with a scart lead. Your box should come with instructions and diagrams including a quick set-up guide. The next step is to scan for channels. During the scan the box will automatically find and store all available Digital TV channels. This can take up to 30 minutes.

Now you can view free digital TV on your exsisting TV. And unlike SKY there's no monthly fee!
